slow cooked refried beans
















































Recipe from Roger of soul cocina:
soak beans overnight, discard water.
Saute onions, carrots, celery, fennel, bay leaf/avocado leaf, dried chilies, garlic
add soaked and washed beans and bring to a boil. Slow cook for 4-5 hours. puree them at the end. Add lemon/lime for some acidity.

Goes well with brown rice or corn tortillas
